Some Remarks by Neal Stephenson is a very enjoyable collection of shorter pieces from one of my favorite writers.
Here’s a bonus for you: if you didn’t read his monumental “Mother Earth, Mother Board” long form journalism piece in Wired when it was published in the mid-90s, now’s your chance. I suggest you take it. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I read it the first time. How many magazine articles can you say *that* about? (For the curious: I was standing at the checkout at Books-A-Million on Forest Drive in Columbia, waiting for people to come up and buy something. It was late at night and the store was basically empty.)
This is a quick, entertaining read that anyone interested in SF or technology will enjoy.
