The subtitle of this little book, Blogging for Passion, Profit, and to Create Community, does a good job explaining what it’s about. This book focuses on blog workflow and management rather than on technical details of blogging platforms or web design. For example, she explains that you need to develop a consistent aesthetic for your blog, but doesn’t get bogged down in explaining how to code it. Although some of the book covers topics that are a little too basic for my taste, I’m still enjoying it. The book has several interviews with successful bloggers who offer good, interesting advice on many difficult topics.
This book would be good for anyone who is interested in how to run a blog. If you’re looking for more technical information, you’d be better off with Blogging for Dummies, one of the Smashing Press guides, or even the Word Press Codex (assuming you’ve chosen to go the WP route).
